The schedule for the beginning of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been approved. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told this.

"We have approved the schedule for the start of the movement of our troops. Decisions have been made," Zelensky shared his plans in an interview with the German publication Bild.

Zelensky also told Bild about the shock he experienced due to the reaction of the Red Cross and the UN to the incident with the Kakhovskaya HPP, reports "Federal News Agency." According to the Ukrainian leader, the largest world organizations did not respond to the requests for help, or simply responded with a "diplomatic refusal.

NEWS UPDATE AMMONIA PIPELINE NOON JUNE 7
The worlds longest ammonia pipeline, 2470 km, going from Togliatti at the Volga to three harbours at the Black Sea has been breached near Masyutivka (red dot left of M) in the Kupiansk region. It happened at June 5th, the day before the destruction of the Novo Kakhovka dam. Both sides blame each other. The pipeline has been shut down since February 2022, but there seems to be ammonia in it.

The pipeline has played an important part in the grain deal. The opening of the pipeline for ammonia deliveries from Russia was a demand from the russian side for allowing ukrainian grain shippments. This has not happened so Russia on June 2nd, stopped any further grain shipments until the pipeline is opened again.

The ukrainian side claims that russian artillery shelling destroyed a pumping station near Masyutivka and that no leakage of ammonia has been observed. The russian side claims on the other side that ukrainian force's blew up the pumping station and that a lot of ammonia has been released and blown towards the ukrainian lines. This has forced the ukrainians to abort military operations in the area. Russia claims that at least one are dead and three hospitalised.

I don't know the exact location of the pumping station, but since russian forces control the eastern side of the Oskil river and have a beachhead (red line) on the western side, the pumping station ought to be on the western side as well if it has been hit by russian artillery. The ukrainians could have blown up the pipeline anywhere on their territory but by doing it at the front they could easily blame the russians. By the video it seems that russian claims of a leakage at least are confirmed.

There are at present impossible to say who did it. There are arguments pro and against both sides. Russia wants to export ammonia so that would talk against the russians. The russians could of course have given up on the prospect of exporting ammonia and want to shift blame on Ukraine for the abandonment of the grain deal. The same could be said about the ukrainian side. They want to export grain, but not, it seems, if that allows Russia to gain income from ammonia export.

If the pipeline is destroyed and unusable there has been two blows to important infrastructure in a couple of days.

The Russian army repulsed several waves of enemy attacks on the night of June 8.

The AFU armored groups began advancing in several sections of the line of contact in the Zaporizhzhia region. Prior to that, there had been a powerful artillery preparation by the enemy. Equipment and infantry were advancing near Orekhovo and near Malaya Tokmachka. During the long and fierce fighting the enemy was defeated.

Russian military aviation alone burned down at least 30 AFU armored vehicles. Artillery crews destroyed another 35 units. The enemy's irretrievable losses by the morning of June 8 amounted to about 1,000 men. [link to voennoedelo.com (secure)]

Soldiers of the 37th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded a video message in which they stated that their commanders had fraudulently sent them to the offensive. The soldiers were ordered to occupy the village, which had allegedly been abandoned by the Russian troops. The AFU units moved towards the village in armored vehicles without the support of tanks, but were suddenly hit by powerful mortar strikes.

It turned out that there were drones in the sky and they were aiming fire at the incoming Ukrainians, while the village was occupied by Russian Armed Forces units. As a result of this deception and unsuccessful offensive, the enemy suffered serious losses, and the survivors returned to their original positions.

Russian border guards successfully repelled an attempted intrusion by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone "Leleka-100" in the Suzhan district of Kursk Region. Information about this incident appeared on June 7, thanks to a report by the head of the region, Roman Starovoit.

"Our border guards landed another "bird" of the AFU in the Suzhansky district. This time the prey was a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone "Leleka-100"," the governor noted in his message in his Tlgrm channel.

The process of "landing" of the enemy drone was carried out with the use of means of electronic warfare (EWC). Such technology allows to jam the signals that control the drone and thus neutralize it.


The incident underscores the activity and effectiveness of the Russian border guards, who tirelessly monitor the state borders and thwart attempts at illegal infiltration.

However, the incident also reveals increased attempts by Ukraine to conduct reconnaissance outside its territory. The Ukrainian Leleka-100 reconnaissance drone is a relatively new and high-tech piece of unmanned equipment, indicating the Ukrainian military's intention to use every opportunity to monitor Russia's actions.
