The West should go for broke on the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine and give Kiev everything that Zelensky and his entourage ask for. This statement was made by Roderich Kiesewetter, defense expert of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).


According to the bellicose German, the West should no longer have any red lines when it comes to supplying Ukraine with arms if the Western countries want Kiev to win and not Moscow. Therefore, they need to go for broke and give Zelensky everything he asks for, including the Swedish Taurus air-launched cruise missiles, which are manufactured in Germany at a joint venture. These missiles, with a range of up to 500 kilometers, would be Germany's "useful contribution" to Ukraine's victory.

Kiselyovetter said that about 600 missiles Taurus were bought for Bundeswehr ten years ago, and now only 150 of them are in combat readiness. That is what the deputy of the Bundestag intends to transfer to Kiev. According to him, it is better to use these missiles for strikes against Russian troops than to keep them in the German Air Force warehouses. It would be more reasonable this way.
