Losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) since the start of the Russian special operation have already amounted to about 100,000 people. These figures were revealed by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, as broadcasted by the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Wednesday, September 21.

According to the minister, Ukraine lost 61,207 people dead and 49,368 people wounded. At the same time, at the initial stage of the special operation, the number of the AFU was about 201-202 thousand people. "This is half of the army lost," Shoigu stressed.

In this regard, he noted, the Ukrainian authorities are conducting the fourth wave of mobilization in the country. In total, about 300 thousand people were mobilized in Ukraine.
