MOSCOW, Sep 23 - RIA Novosti. The U.S. economy benefits most from the energy crisis in Europe because high gas prices are forcing European companies to move their production to the United States, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal.
"The U.S. economy has been among those who have benefited the most from Europe's energy crisis," the Journal wrote. Faced with high gas prices, European companies producing steel, fertilizers and other goods are gradually moving their businesses to the United States, where they are attracted by more stable energy prices and government support.
As the WSJ notes, while energy price fluctuations and supply chain problems threaten Europe with what "some economists warn could become a new era of deindustrialization," the U.S. government has approved a series of measures to stimulate industrial production. [link to ria.ru (secure)]
