Turkey's newest Bayraktar AKINCI drone strike drone struck Syria for the first time.

A few hours ago, Turkey's newest Bayraktar AKINCI strike drone was spotted over Syrian territory for the first time. It turned out that the drone was not on a reconnaissance mission, but was carrying out strikes, and not only against members of Kurdish armed formations, but also against positions of the Syrian military.

On the photo taken by locals, they can identify the latest Bayraktar AKINCI UAV. Similar drones have been seen in flight before, but this was the first time these aircraft had been used in a strike. Remarkably, the attack was carried out using missile weapons rather than aerial bombs, which had also previously been considered uncharacteristic of Turkish drones.

There is currently no information about the damage and casualties after the Turkish strikes, but judging by the video footage from the scene, the damage is quite severe, especially if you consider that instead of standard air bombs, the Turkish military used short-range cruise missiles.

It is notable that Ukraine is one of the customers of the Turkish Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned aerial vehicles, which does not rule out the possibility that Ankara may hand over the drones to Kiev, citing earlier contracts.
