A huge defeat of crucial importance has been suffered by the Russian forces as a while ago the Ukrainian Army entered Krasni Lyman. Russian forces were forced to retreat a few hours ago from the areas of Drobyshevo, Terni and Yampol.

Fierce fighting is taking place in the area. The Russian Air Force is trying to extricate 3-4,000 Russian soldiers surrounded and trapped in the town of Liman and open an escape route.

According to the Russians, 6,000-10,000 Ukrainian soldiers are involved in the attack on Liman.

Units of the 20th Combined Army of the Russian army have been surrounded in the area. Information speaks of at least 3,000 surrounded Russians, while other sources raise their number to 5,500.

Russia just took 1/5 of Ukraine, a tiny battle in podunk is not a huge defeat.
