I'll be out there. Sometimes I see a moon of Jupiter pass over the surface casting a tiny shadow on the clouds. It gives the view a 3D effect and I stare for a while. I'm not so much an astronomer as a Star Gazer. Great hobby. I have a little 5" Maksutov-cassegraine and a 6" F/4 reflector for star fields and comets. |

Almost sounds impossible. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84219848 Uh, it's really big. 10 earths could be lined up across its equator. Go outside right now. Look to the ESE and up about 35 degrees. It's bright! I love the planets. Stars are boring. Nebula take a big scope, galaxies are dim smudges. The planets are there for signs and seasons and to teach us how to build a clock. |

Darn it, make that the SSE. In my own yard, no less. |

The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. Susie For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.....Matthew 6:21 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1 |
