Putin is sending them needlessly to their deaths. This is a disaster for them. There’s no way out, and they can’t win. Their leaders can’t admit fault or defeat, which only leads to them doubling down on what was already a terrible idea.

I think the fact that their military is performing so ineffectively and are losing the propaganda battle on all fronts is what makes this scary. Putin is obviously trying to spin it that it's Europe and USA inference that's leading to their let's say embarrassing campaign. However the problem is what does he do, he is in a position no where regime change via coup might be a real possibility. He almost has to do something to maintain the image ( illusion if you pefer) of military strength. This makes this very dangerous for the next fee weeks IMHO
