OP do you believe the Holy Ghost is God? Because guess what? The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. He said "I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you." Thomas said, "My Lord and My God." Did Jesus correct him? Did he stop anyone that worshipped Him? No. Literally everything Jesus said was a claim to be God. Paul says that Rock was Christ, referring to the Exodus. Who is The Alpha and The Omega? Read the rest of that verse...death couldn't hold Him obviously since He is God, and only God is without sin. He died for us, He became the sacrifice for us. He would never have died if He didn't come to pay the price for our atonement since the wages of sin is death.
