If you follow Jesus you wouldn’t go. He said to pray for those persecuting you and love your enemies. Not go out and kill them. No first century Christians fought in wars. They put down their weapons and preached. Christians are to be in the world but not a part of it. And there are people who profess to be Christians in most countries and whose governments make them kill each other in wars. That is not what Jesus would want. Christians should stand down and be conscientious objectors.
