First it was the 18-26 high school drop outs.
College students got deferred but that changed along with the being single aspect. lol Some stood in line to get married.
Then the dates and parenthood on that changed too.
Those with pull went into the reserves. And as they got full it took a lot of pull. But as always money talks.
The objectors ran to Canada but they have announced a few years back that they will no longer accept them.
And finally after some blood in the streets (4 dead in Ohio) and many many marches they shut it down.

Now the age of signing up is the same I believe but the talk is NO exceptions..
I'm not sure on tattoos or not being 100% physical enough for combat. The supporting roles have dropped from only 9 in 10 NOT carrying a weapon to now with modern arms its supposedly 4 out of 5 or so.

And the gals won't get a pass this time around IMO.

Cannon fodder and yes it's all about our "handlers" and their population control.
