Can’t decide whether to swing west and hit the “S-Tripple F” (SanFrancisco Feces Festival) or stop for some Anderson’s split pea soup. I mean on the one hand I guess the S-Tripple F has the Monkey Pox Parade, ( I hear it’s to die for) and on the other hand i’ve Never had that pea soup.

Need to decide soon, any help deciding would be much appreciated!

Have to admit I did not know where Andersons was. I saw a sign headed north on I5 advertising it. I just looked it up on line and they are saying "Santa Nella" which is near Los Banos. Also you are correct, there is one in Buellton near Solvang.

Incidentally I was looking at Los Banos on the map thinking
I think that means "the bathrooms" in Spanish. I couldn't quite belive it so I looked it up and sure enough it does.
Who the hell names a town "The Bathrooms"?

Loved that stretch of a summer trip yrs ago. Try to get by Redwood forest and Fern Canyon.

I remember there being some real shithole towns between Eureka and Redding too.
Particularly Willow Creek, Hoopa, Happy Camp and Klamath.

That, I’d rather eat McDonald’s….or not either of them.
