Well, if it came from the Webb Telescope then it is not a "photograph" in the sense that it is made with visible light.

It operates by collecting Infra Red wavelengths.

These are then shifted to the visible part of the spectrum to produce images. I assume they do this intelligently, so as to mimic what they believe the actual visual colors they believe are there.

So the image is indeed "created". But from the IR images they collected.
