I remember an old episode with these cops chasing a guy on a dirt bike, he stopped and was sitting there waiting for them to get out of their car, they got out, he revved it and took off down a train track, the 2 cops ran about 20 feet after him and stopped and they just looked utterly defeated because this was all caught on film.

Was quite hilarious.

Yep. A couple weeks ago it was announced by Kern County Sheriffs that they signed a contract with COPS to film w/ ride-alongs in Kern County. So now you get to see how bad Bakersfield is. I hope they don't come up where I am. We don't need our community's embarrassments on TV for the world to see. Would be really bad if they sent more Sheriffs up here too, especially if they aren't familiar with our community.

Live PD was much better.

Hell yeah baby! I grew up watching this show. In fact my mom told me to call it "police action show" because she found the term "cops" too casual.
She watched it with me after school. She'd watch X-files from 3-4pm, then we'd switch to Cops.

They had to bring it back because On Patrol: LIVE is a hit show.

They literally just wrapped up filming in Anderson, Sc. I live here. I've never watched but....I'm watching this season! Can't wait to see someone I know on an episode! A cop in this season ended up in the hospital bc of a fentanyl overdose. Accidentally. He was searching a car a Bam! That probably won't make the cut though. I only know bc my best friend works at the Hilton the cops were staying at. She got the scoop. Fentanyl is tearing families apart here. 😒 mine incuded.
