On the night of September 22, school teachers in Ulan-Ude, Buryuatia, were ordered to handwrite and deliver mobilization summons to eligible local residents. The Insider learned about the incident from its feedback and confirmed it with the head of Free Buryatia Alexandra Garmazhapova.

On September 21, the city learned that morning classes were canceled because the authorities needed the premises as “gathering points and information stations for reservists”. This was reported by a local channel, All Ulan-Ude. Buryatia. Channel authors have knowledge of such station in School No. 8 and “a few other institutions”.

The Insider's readers witnessed the opening of such stations too. As they say, classes are being cancelled throughout Ulan-Ude. At night, summons were already being written; moreover, local school teachers were ordered to spend the night delivering them to local residents eligible for mobilization. The known cases pertain to three schools: No. 25, 32, and 44. There may be more.

From what we know, local authorities seek to mobilize 2,500 troops.

“Military commissariats send lists to schools, and teachers fill out and deliver the summons. They are forced to. As my aunt says, teachers are simply forced to do it, and they don't object,” a local resident told The Insider.

To her knowledge, the mobilized men are being sent to Chita for a one-month boot camp. As they are told, afterward they will be deployed across the territories where Russian “authorities” are organizing “referendums”.

Update: Teachers in one of the schools in Svobodny, Amur Region, were also forced to issue summons to locals. A teacher's relative shared the incident with Verstka.
