These people are not that. By making excuses for them you are only perpetuating the problem which is going to make shop owners shut down and increase the poverty in the long run.

I am just totally lost that you could look at a gang of people looting and leaving food all over the place, making a mess and fighting in the parking lot and somehow make a statement that the poor need to survive.

A poor person who needed to survive would lack energy, they would come into the store and ask for some help and in almost any situation that I have ever seen in my life, somebody would give them some food and offer help.

I have been poor--really, really poor with three kids and I did not steal--people can be poor and still they can retain dignity and they can be clean.

I remember my mom saying that poor people need to stay cleaner than anyone else and they need to wipe the snot off their kids noses quicker than anyone else if the kid has a cold.

Poor people can have morals and dignity.
