Will affect the whole country with building materials and insurance rates. Sounds about right. West Florida will have wind and flood damage. Eastern Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina will have some wind damage and lots of flood damage too. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80719182 Netherlands 09/28/2022 04:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You must be so worried, Happy...My sister brother-inlaw and nieces are all in the Sarasota area of Tampa. Very close to the shoreline--I'm sure they are in trouble. It's hard to watch some of this footage. No contact. The Oracle's Cookie Wife is visiting with her folks and they are in Englewood (about as far south Sarasota County as you can get a block from Lemon Bay). Power is out and lots of wind and rain, but they are okay. Best side of the worst part of the storm. Lots of wind and rain, like I said, but Charlotte and Lee county are catching the worst of this. Been through a few of these myself. Don't worry about no contact, as there are lots of reasons why. More often than not they are just in awe of Mother Nature. I was. Every time. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80719182 Netherlands 09/28/2022 05:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My guess 25 billion. Will affect the whole country with building materials and insurance rates. They already rape you so bad on insurance in Florida the State had to setup their own insurance company, Citizens. This is going to bankrupt some companies I'm not sure how much the State has in the Citizens fund... I say this not so much as a partisan but an observer of politics. In my opinion, both sides suck. That being said, if Biden plays politics, witholds disaster relief, and tries to pit tis on Desantis, it will be one of the biggest political blunders in history. Being that it is Biden, I am sure he is going to do it. Remember Katrina was Bush's fault not the governor of Louisiana at the time, while Covid was Trump's fault, and Governor Cuomo was the greatest governor in the universe. |

This is going to bankrupt some companies I'm not sure how much the State has in the Citizens fund... The truth is no one has to move there. I was born there. Third generation. My kids are fourth. But decided to move to the Carolinas. Now we deal with winter. There is a price to pay anywhere we choose to live. I miss the ocean but not the storms. Insurance was just a fact of life there. |

A whole fucking lot I suspect. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. Or something |
