My youngest brother and his family in Englewood are OK. His house got roof damage, and he has some water damage and debris inside, but not too bad. He is hunkering down, has a generator with extra fuel, stacks of cases of bottled water, and embraces the 2nd amendment. He is calling his insurance today.

Re: Hurricane Ian Info
Ian could end up racking up quite a tab on its US Tour.

The west coast of Florida is the most vulnerable tropical storm/hurricane coastline in the US.

Secondary to that could be Carolina's coastline.

Re: Hurricane Ian Info
My MIL was moved from an assisted living facility in Punta Gorda to Sarasota. Made it through okay though there was damage done to the building she was in. She is suppose to be moved back to original place tomorrow after some clean up is done. It was a fast phone call so unknown if they even have power at the ALF. Sounds like a mess.

Being in Colorado has been hard dealing with this.

Cocoa/Merritt Island 10.5 inches. Luckily spared much damage, rain wrapping around again.

Prayers for the west coast. Horrible damage to Fort Meyers and the Keys too. I know that feeling of helplessness, it's awful.

I love this thread and I thank everyone who has been posting here.

Could I just ask for one sentence with each pointer so that I don't have to follow each one? Time is short, but some of these have been great info for me.
