I always laughed at people who tried to tell me that blockchain is decentralized and anonymous. It is not. It is a perfect record of every transaction made by any participant. It is as centralized as they come.

The only way it can work is a hybrid system: blockchain based economy for governments, institutions and officials. But for the regular people physical currency that could be printed according to how many bitcoins (instead of tonnes of gold) has the country in its arks.
This way all official national and international transactions can be traced and audited, but the regular Joe can keep buying groceries with privacy and convenience with cash, or use a card.

But all digital, is just doomed to fail, either by a massive blackout by a big solar flare like the Carrington Event, and the other reason is the inability to use crypto or whatever digital procedures to buy/sell by the abundant 0.0 IQ tard that lives in a slum or a remote village and milks cattle.

Hi, new lurker here. There's truth to what you're saying, but you're missing the bigger picture. Blockchains are a tool, and its function depends on how you use it. While by default all the transactions are public, it's also possible to design privacy into it.

And yes, while nation states are trying to create their own CBDCs, fact is, by now most of the brightest free thinkers aware of the history of banking and what blockchains (starting with Bitcoin) were meant to accomplish -- to provide a robust alternative to the status quo.

I suspect that while Bitcoin (Satoshi Nakamoto == CIA skunkworks project?) and Ethereum (interesting logo) were hoped/chosen to be the main escape routes for TPTB (explaining the relative elevated prices and a congress bill proposal to create special exceptions for them), it turns out that the ecosystem has evolved beyond them and taken a life of its own; and they are desperately trying to buy out all the horses that they can buy.

But the ones that created the internet of blockchains in order to give people freedom of choice, Tendermint and Cosmos, have already been adopted by the engineers and crypto community, because it held fast to truth and beauty. And like the internet was a bastion of liberty, so too I pray the internet of blockchains, the Cosmos Hub.
