How is that possible?

Check out Meniere's disease. Lower your salt intake below 1200mg per day. Stop eating all preservatives. If you feel fullness of the ears, have tinnitus and dizziness you may have Meniere's. I just received disability for this horrible illness today.

Mine used to ring when I was a kid.

Lost it for a long time, started back up infrequently.

Had one today that sounded more like a freight train reversal of pressure.

11455 is the 'carrier tone' that is always there (it sounds like tinsel). The frequencies that move around that, are all over the map.

That happened to me too. The ringing stopped for a while.

I have terrible tinnitus (ringing of the ears), every day, if I don't watch what I eat.

If I eat too much salt? Tinnitus.

Eating foods I'm allergic to? Tinnius.

I finally got rid of it by doing the following:
1. I cut out my salt drastically. (if they start ringing now, 9 times out of 10, it was because I ate a lot of salt that day, or the day before.)

2. I got tested for food allergies, and discovered that I'm actually ALLERGIC (not just intolerant, but IgE allergic) to wheat and corn. I stopped eating those foods, and the ringing in my ears went away, along with other symptoms.

Now, I only get tinnitus if I have too much salt. or if I am getting another hemiplegic migraine. (Corn also causes most of my migraines, and I have gotten rid of many of the migraines simply by stopping eating corn and wheat.) I used to get partial seizures a lot, too, and those also stopped when I stopped eating foods I am allergic to. (I tried a ton of anticonvulsants, and they never helped, but changing my diet did help a lot.)

I've been cheating on my diet the past 2-3 weeks, and eating the foods I'm allergic to again, and once again, I have terrible tinnitus, and migraines. I need to stop eating those foods again before I start getting seizures again, too!

I doubt it, because my tinnitus pitch is really, really much higher (thousands higher) than. your frequency.

But it was a good theory! Lol.

We could play a symphony with all our tinnitus pitches...if other people could hear them. Hmm. Maybe someday, someone will invent a device that will let other people hear our tinnitus, and then we could all play.....

Beyond the tinnitus? I just hear the hum about half of day and night when at home. No ringing, just the hum, steadily pulsating low hum.

Actually this is exactly what is to be done for people with serious tinnitus problems. It gets so bad it can drive people to suicide. These steps can reduce the ringing.

Sorry guys to blow science, but it's electric field around Earth and Universe which causes ringing. Can't be cured, it's a wake-up call. No wonder so many people on GLP hear ringing. The ringing will recede away when things normalize worldwide.

This is coming from someone with over two decades in the field and suffers from something that they say isn't Tinnitus. EXACTLY WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE???

I'm 65 and my hearing is a good as when I was a child. I too can hear upwards just over 17khz and higher if it's loud.

#3 Watch Your Diet

On days when your tinnitus seems particularly loud, think back; what have you eaten or drank or done in the last 24-36 hours? Did you eat a salty meal? Did you sweat more than normal and not drink enough water? Did you drink more coffee or soda than normal? You might be able to identify the things that trigger your tinnitus so that you can learn to avoid them.
