Well, it was told to me by my otolaryngologist. Salt caffeine and nicotine raise your blood pressure which can trigger the ringing. Alcohol can raise your blood pressure too, but it tends to make things worse the morning after.

Meh, having tinnitus, which in some 'runs deeper and more profoundly' then others is hard to handle. 4 years of my 'talking tinnitus' and if it weren't for being grounded. I'd be dead. I stick to beer and wine for grounding!

I dont smoke or drink much. But if i have a cig it can pop my ears instantly. Like a fucking gong just went off. Same with drinking. Wake up with a dull ringing and headache. Goes away by the afternoon. I kinda wondered if hydration might be something to pay attention too also.

i was taking b12 for some other troubles and after 6 months there was not more ringing. maybe if i took more it would stopped faster that i do not know. i had tinnitus my life till i took b12.
from time to time i do have ringing but i can tell it is not same, as if coming from something outside of my body.
everyone should take B12!

Mine is in my right side, since probably around covid but maybe longer ( I never actually got covid that I know of, im just talking since around the lockdowns started, but possibly before)for me its an almost constant low grumbling noise, like heavy machinery at work just at the edge of audibility, really annoying.

I do get fluctuations tho, sometimes a deep wooble or woosh, to fade out of sounds all together, but 1635 is probably the most constant.

I've tried to peg it to high blood pressure but it isn't.....however a side phenomena is that when the frequency
starts really roaring loud (it goes softer too but always back loud)....that it creates anxiety. ....that drives the BP... so it becomes the dog chasing his tail or the chicken and the egg.

The noise gets so loud at night it wakes me up...then the anxiety gets going and I can't sleep staying up for a few hours and drinking coffee.

Doctors say they can't treat the BP because it goes up and down. One time they crashed my BP. That was very frightening.

I think there is definitely a "driver" to this noise but can only speculate and dare not state.

I went deaf in my right ear many years ago due to some medication that I was on. It was just a sudden event that made me lose my hearing. Since then, it really really stands out when there is anything causing my ear to ring. Today it's kind of a different ringing, kind of like very high pitched but not loud, it's hard to describe. Almost like a dog whistle.

Try 8300Hz square wave.

If so, I know what the cause is.

It’s constant. Always present, but changes both tone and intensity slightly. Have tried to identifiy the tone many times on many differnet online tone generators and cannot fix it to exact, but the tone is high pitched.

When doing the tone generator seems cycling thru from about 9480-10580 causes that occasional cancel of tone which is the matching of tone to ear, but doesn’t last which indicates the ear tone is rapidly fluxuating.

Already know I have frequency sensitivities and router 5Ghz turned off with only 2.4Ghz on and channel set to 8. Read it somewhere supposed to be better, but no better to me anyways. No appliances, cell phone or TV hooked into wifi only an ipad and speakers. Digital electric meter on opposite side of home. No local industry. Just try to ignore it as best as possible since it is not going to go away anytime soon. Kind of stinks with a constant whine/whistle sound all the time. Ugg.
