Very strange. Recruiting is strictly forbidden in Free Masonry. I have known many Masons in my life--some of the best men I have ever known. There was a couple of times that some small hint was given that I might belong--but never anything so bold as to even suggest I should check it out.

Of course they are in plain sight. Why shouldn't they be. I don't know about now but in our country's past they provided a steady hand to ensure our survival. My own grandfather a very active Mason was an engineer at the Oakridge Tennesee facility{ I still have a gate pass and a odd little resident ID he carried} and gave much of his unfortunatly short life to create the atomic bomb. The Mason have always served our nation. My grandmother had a steamer trunk filled with his Masonic garb, Apron etc..,books and and lot's of paper materials. I was facinated with it as a child.
