theorize all you want about his death, but the documentary about it didn't leave a lot to the imagination as far as how it likely really went down. The trailer and maybe the movie were well produced but they were so because the dude was very obsessive and meticulous. It's what made him a good soldier allegedly. But, those kinds of attributes in a person tend to implode quite often mentally and emotionally in a world like this with all it's chaos and stresses. add to that fact he likely had some very unresolved p t s d, and believed in a lot of conspir*acies (not that that is inherently wrong) that can take a person into some very dark places mentally if left unchecked and in a bad situation. bottom line is, it is far more likely that he very well could have lost it due financial pressures, major feelings of inadequacy and insecurity and bad thoughts of being a failure in life. His own family members and friends were noted as describing a breakdown and disconnect from reality to the point he was getting more unstable. Could he have still been taken out? sure.. maybe.. but if you apply the simplest explanation to everything that was revealed in the documentary.. it really is a strong possibility he was consumed by his own darkness in a very bad way. The subject matter of the movie he was trying to make and obsessing over alone was dark enough to start affecting anyone really regardless of what's happening in the world now or not. Just saying, there is another side to that story is all. No one but D C himself knows what really happened and he's gone now so... I don't know if he ever has talked about it over the years or not, but if not, I'd be curious to know J B's thoughts on it since he was supposed to be acting in it
