You mean to tell me it stayed in the exact spot 20sec no spin before impact. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84184857 Actually a really good observation/question. Wtf? ![]() NASA took billions of US tax money to do this shit. They ended up paying an amateur photoshopper about tree fiddy to make that shitty footage. NASA is and always has been a massive money laundering operation. When will you fools get it? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80264841 09/26/2022 08:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That impactor was traveling at 4 miles per second and it was taking stills, one every second. It was a spectacular feat! They intercepted a deep space object and hit it dead on. That's some serious understanding of astrophysics. It was the first spacial body that humans have moved. Now, they need to figure out how to move those moons out in the deep freeze of the gas giants closer to the habital zone so that they thaw out. Lex Luther would approve! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 35883326 ![]() 09/26/2022 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That broadcast was one of the most blatant displays of disdain, condescendence and mockery of Americans and the human race for that matter. How much off American taxpayers goes to NASA???? Do Americans even care they are being hoodwinked by NASA for over 50 years????? |

But you dummies who think this “landed” or “zero impact” are insufferable and don’t put one ounce into research before crying wolf. Consider the challenges of transmitting these images back to earth in this setting, and how the feed is then broadcasted out. Lots of manipulation. Were you expecting a 3rd Party camera that will see the collision in 24hz? Settle your expectations. Instead consider analyzing the size of the asteroid and objects as the craft neared, as they should become exponentially larger on the camera every “frame”, separate of thruster corrections. There was no impact whatsoever. They just keyframed a 3D camera approaching a low-poly "asteroid" with a 2k texture and some displacement map. But they didn't even bother adding some shake effect to the camera to at least sell the illusion of "impact". They didn't bother because they think we're monkeys that get amused by any tricks with cards and cigar buts. |
