the point of the mission as it says on their site was to crash the craft into it at 15,000 mph totally destroying to craft but altering the orbit of the asteroid around its 5x larger binary asteroid twin by 73 seconds to 10 minutes. the entire craft is to be destroyed on impact
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84269966 What impact?? There was no impact whatsoever. They just keyframed a 3D camera approaching a low-poly "asteroid" with a 2k texture and some displacement map. But they didn't even bother adding some shake effect to the camera to at least sell the illusion of "impact". They didn't bother because they think we're monkeys that get amused by any tricks with cards and cigar buts.
