Hundreds of thousands of Russians flee Russia to avoid being conscripted into President Putin's lost war on Ukraine
More than 194,000 Russian nationals have fled to neighbouring Finland, Georgia, and Kazakhstan – most often by car, bicycle or on foot – in the week since President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation of reservists.

The mass exodus of men – alone or with their families or friends – began on September 21, shortly after Putin’s address to the nation, and continued all this week. Early on, they snapped up airline tickets, which spiked in price on the few airlines still flying out of Russia. But the rest had to gas up their cars and join the long lines snaking on roads towards the borders.

Georgia said more than 53,000 Russians have entered the country since last week, while officials in Kazakhstan said 98,000 had crossed into to its territory. The Finnish Border Guard agency said more than 43,000 arrived in the same period. Media reports also said another 3,000 Russians entered Mongolia, which also shares a border with the country.

Russia’s defence minister Sergei Shoigu said only about 300,000 men with prior combat or other military service would be mustered, but reports have emerged from various Russian regions that recruiters were rounding up men outside that description, fuelling fears of a much broader call-up, sending droves of men of all ages and backgrounds to airports and borders.

More Russians are fleeing from Russia to avoid conscription than invaded Ukraine back in February. President Putin needs to get a grip on reality. The war is lost and Russian people don't want to fight Ukraine or take over their land.

uh huh. suuurrre.

IF we've learned anything, its that newscucks cant math. Especially when gaslighting their agenda narratives.

I mean heck, brandon has created 10s of billions of jobs. Right.

I'd be surprised if total "rusky defectors" hits anywhere near a documentable 10k.

Butt Hay, that kinda number certainly doesnt prop up the deep state propaganda apparatus. So believe what you want.

Re: Hundreds of thousands of Russians flee Russia to avoid being conscripted into President Putin's lost war on Ukraine
the traffic jams at the border crossings leaving Russia can be SEEN FROM SPACE.

President Lukashenko of Belarus and President Putin of Russia had a nice chat the other day about the hundreds of thousands of Russians running away from Russia to avoid being conscripted into the war on Ukraine.

'Our course is right, our cause is right,' Lukashenko told Putin, bringing a rare smile to the Russian warmonger's lips.

'We will win. We have no other choice. We, as Slavs, would not tolerate humiliation,' Lukashenko told him.

The Belarusian leaders bombastic speech belied the situation on the ground though.

The call for mobilisation has proved wildly unpopular, with hundreds of thousands of Russian men having already fled the country to avoid the call up.

Outbound flights from Russia are completely sold out, and traffic jams leading to Russia's borders are so big they can be seen from space.

Anti-war protests have erupted across the country, and Russian media reported an increasing number of arson attacks on military enlistment offices. Yesterday, an enlistment officer was shot at almost point blank range by a man who refused to be drafted.

Lukashenko continued monologuing in Sochi yesterday, spouting rhetorical questions as Putin sat silently, squirming uncomfortably beside him.

'Let's say 30,000 or 50,000 [people] run away. If they were to stay, would they be our people?' the Belarusian president said.

'Let them run away. I don't know what you think about it, but I wasn't worried too much in 2020 when people left [Belarus after protests over his vote-rigging].

There are so many Russian men trying to avoid being sent to the slaughter in Putin's War.

Among those that weren't so lucky, morale is at an all time low. 300,000 troops means nothing when none of them want to fight.

It's part of the reason Putin has threatened nukes.

If he actually thought that his newly conscripted army could finish the job, then why bother with the nuke threats?

clearly the people running away from Russia to avoid conscription aren't suitable for the Russian army. Russian army troops are supposed to wait until they are at least in the same country as their enemies before they run away

nice try shill, that's less than .01 percent of the population. Next thread you're going to make is Mr. Putin's approval has plummeted from 90 percent to 88 percent indicating Trump/Putin is soon going to be overthrown.

so you accept that hundreds of thousands of Russians are running away to avoid conscription? but it's okay because it's only .01 percent of the population?

200000 people / .01% = 2 billion

you really think Russia has a population of 2 billion people? coz they don't!

the situation keeps getting worse for Russia. but people keep saying "oh Russia might get real soon and start fighting properly!!". why didn't they start fighting properly in FEBRUARY???

if Russia has so many soldiers why doesn't it send them in to win the war in Ukraine????? probly because it already has supply problems with the 60,000 Russian troops they have left in Ukraine. and because it has no effective way to move a million troops into Ukraine.

go ahead send a million troops into Ukraine. with no supplies they will all be dead by January, due to winter is coming

they aren't "reservists". they are people who got conscripted for a year. a wasted year of crap training.

you say "it should be a huge clue". why don't you tell people what you are referring to?

if all you got to say is "wah wah wah that is wrong!!" then what is the point of you even posting?

Russia has massive supply problems already. and it's getting worse. Russia can't send a million troops into Ukraine, it can't even properly supply the thousands of troops that are still there.

after all the Russian tanks and trucks that got blown up, how can Russia support a million troops in the field? let alone 25 million? what are they gonna supply them with? leftover tanks from the 1950s?

here they got the opinion of an expert who has studied the war. he says Russia has lost. Ukraine has a million trained troops in Ukraine and Russia only has 60,000 left. the 300,000 new conscripts will have to get trained and equipped and transported so that must take at least two months. so they would arrive just in time for winter. Russian troops ain't gonna hold out against a million Ukrainians for 2 months. it's over. President Putin got it wrong and he lost.
