This is a good example of how the US is playing it's vassal states against each other. Germany is fully under control and, now, being economically ruined and Poland is now their new bitch and will be used as a tool against fellow Visegrad member, Hungary.

Does Russia benefit? They could have turned off the pipeline whenever they wanted. Their play was to have a harsh winter and make people in European countries ask the question: why are we suffering? Why do we care about Ukraine? Putin himself said, capitulate and drop the sanctions and we will turn your gas back on with a flip of the switch. Now, they can’t. This action harms Russia, and that’s not even to mention the millions spent on building the pipelines.

So if Russia doesn’t benefit then who does?

The US. Now there is no going back for Europe. They have to be all in on “punishing Russia”.

Poland. Via the new pipeline from Norway, they are the new power brokers in Europe. And they get to displace Germany. Make no mistake, the German economy is now on the brink of collapse and Poland will benefit. Poland and Germany are long time enemies. Not just World War 2, but before even.

So that’s my take. You could make the case for Qatar, but they don’t have the capacity to pull this off. China also benefits from creating chaos but I don’t think that they would be doing the US any favors.

The Russian response would have been proportional to nordstream. But now with the further escalation. The new weapon deliveries I’d say a massive conventional attack on oil gas and possibly satellite assets is coming. They can put us back 50 years in 15 minutes. They could take out our entire oil and gas infrastructure with a cruise missile barrage. They can guarantee we all freeze in the west this winter. They may just do it.

I'm not Polish and have heard & told a ton of those jokes, but after learning a little about their history I have a ton of respect for Poland. Poland is bad ass.

They might strike us back, but they may choose to wait on that and hurt us in other ways. Ukraine is their focus. Russia still has the upper hand in Ukraine and they won't be distracted by this. If they hit us at home then it is WW3 and China sides with Russia.

I read it will supply just 15% of Poland's NG needs. So, yeah, it's nowhere near enough to replace what has been lost from Russia and the LNG being shipped in is ten times the cost!

My point in posting this, though, is about the US backed rise of Poland who is a very belligerent country, especially toward Germany who the US is in the process of destroying. Bullshit. The new polish gas pipeline has 5% of the capacity of Nord Stream.

It's easy to make fun of Poland's WW2 results, but consider they shared a border with Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia. Polish people are bad ass, tough and resilient. If USA is exposed to 1/10th of what they endured through the century, the americans would slaughter eachother within a few months.

What exactly do you respect of Poland?
Poland, even before WW2, was always very revengeful and hateful towards Germany.
Most people have probably never heard of the atrocities Poland committed against Germans living in the so-called Danzig corridor before WW2.
Also Poland approached France several times before WW2 if France would Form an alliance with Poland in order to attack and finish off Germany.
There was a reason WW2 started at the Polish border!

I heard on a documentary the other day that HItler made sure to kill the intellectual and power elites in Poland after he took it over.

Then during the USSR days and following, there was the so called "Brain Drain" effect as the smartest people in Poland and the rest of the USSR fled their horrible situtations and came to the West.

So there may be some truth to the Polish jokes. (Seriously, how could anyone alive today not know about Polish jokes?)

Eastern european people are so different from "us" western people.
they think about stuff non of us bothers to care about. they know weird treaties,history and so much other stuff related to politics etc.

but i can tell you for a fact that if you go to Poland as a east German then everyone is nice (same in all other eastern european countries).

Disliking a country isnt always the same as disliking its people.
i dislike the UK but there are a hand full of cool people there.
people hate the USA with a passion but Americans are mostly cool af.

The Green party and their insanity caused EU problems, they should down all their energy making nuclear power plants, all because of a UN climate change operation, yes it has always been a hoax to get money, they say it to give from the rich countries to the poor ones. That a flat out lie, they want the money themselves cause the poor countries are being used to attach other countries by immigration that isn't helping them but is destroying the western countries. Climate Change is a hoax using old data rearranged on graphs totally fraudulent, and it is harming our lives, and livelihoods.

They start wars with agreement, they stripe countries of their wealth, this is what they do to poor countries, they have cause most of the problems since their inception and doing away with them would be a blessing for the world, we don't need the UN to give a helping hand to poor countries, it knows how that helps the poor countries, and they learn to do it themselves and take joy that they did it.

I don't know the Polish-German/Prussian history, other than the general world war stuff, but a quick search showed results about Prussia expelling massive numbers of Poles (not sure when as I didn't read). Point being, the animosity seems to go waaaaay back. All I know is that NOW it is Poland causing trouble, not Germany. For them to be causing all of this trouble, right now, could have disastrous consequences. I totally understand the hatred of Russia because of their being enslaved under communism but, like the Baltics, they are obsessed and so full of hate that they are willing to cause WWIII. Add to that, greed and ego, as they're getting groomed by the USA and are full of themselves because of it. The stupidity of this is staggering. Do they not realize that Europe will be a theater for this war they seem to want so badly? Do they actually think the US will nuke Russia off the map and that will be the end of it?

Everyone hates Russia. No one trusts them. No one will trust them again for generations.
