OP,

You just need to know what to invest in. Stock Market is doing great for me. I've owned these stocks for years and decades. They pay Me EVERY Month.

Buy when there is blood in the streets. Words of a famous j investor, by the way. Such sage advice that Warren Buffet himself has adopted it as his own mantra. Buy stocks now.

Warren also said:

“Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.'

Either way - in a Warren Buffet rent-seeking world - you will always be either fearful or greedy.

Truly, a life lesson to live by.

This sums up the stock market entirely.

Your playing in this evil rigged game to enhance your wealth with your greed, at the expense of all others, will not go unnoticed.

Greed will mean the death of you in eternity.

It's mostly leverage that's when the fed steps in to become the buyer of last resort, buying stocks with credit from thin air. Most of the market is credit fueled hot air.

Not true if someone bought a stock with a credit card (on margin), and then defaulted on the loan. That's currency created from nothing injected in the market going directly into someone's pocket.

Re: Bye bye stock market
I am a dumbass, I sold everything in 2001. Never got back in.

I would have several million dollars had I stayed in but, naw, I was too smart.

Been calling for the market to crash for over 20 years and I have been wrong the entire time.

However, its gonna be down bigger than shit tomorrow. Book it.
 Quoting: Hari_Seldon

I will cop to being a dumbass as well. I've always been wary of the stock market, just not a fan, Ponzi and all that.

Yes, I've been jealous of the gains others have made during the run up but I'm guessing it will come down and all I will have missed is a roller coaster ride and my friends will be back where I have been all along.

But then again I might do a little better since I have a reverse market fund. (shorts the market)

All I really know is that house always wins.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83070820

Good luck with the shorts. I'm aware of the short funds and ETFs that are inverse with the markets but I never did anything with them. I figured I would be wrong no matter what so if I got short then the market would go through the roof so I just kept everything in cash and started day trading the market and then eventually got into options but of late really haven't done that much at all.

What's interesting is back in 2002 or so a childhood friend of mine called me up and ask my advice about his 401k and if he should sell it or not. I told him that the government can't afford to let the stock market go to hell because of the social security problem that they have and they're going to do whatever it takes to keep stock market as a tool for retirement.

It's funny I should have taken my own advice but of course I didn't. I think I could have got Amazon for something like five bucks back in 2002 3 or 4 whenever it was. But of course I was too smart to do that.

When the market is weak like it is now it always bottoms in mid October and then starts to go back up. I expect the same to happen this time. Only because it's what it's always done.

Not ready to say this time is different but I have to say it's really messed up. I would expect the low on the s&p to be 1800 or something like that but I know nothing so I'm not a good source of information.
 Quoting: Hari_Seldon

Hey thanks, I didn't have a lot of money in the short funds so even if I win it wont be super big. Everytime I put on my "retro-spectacles" I feel like an idiot. I have a fair amount in precious, but it refuses to behave by the rules that I think are "rationaL" Oh well, forces much larger than "rationality" are at work in the world and until they are driven out nothing makes sense.

You will own Nothing. You will rent a micro sleeping berth in a large complex and share a bathroom and shower with 19 others. You will be given a ride to work 7 days a week for the glorious Dear Leader. You will be taught new songs to sing on the bus ride. After age 45 you are expendable and no medical care will be provided to You. Mandatory injections vaccinationsfeas and rfid chips for all. You will beg for the injections which will have a small amount of fentanyl to addict you to the glorious feeling of making Dear Leader happy. The stock market will be a thing of the past. According to your behavior you will be rewarded with social coins into your rfid chip. You will spend this like money. Your goal will be to get the best social score so you can afford to buy food and not starve. Welcome to the great reset.

Like HST said of San Fran, when the stock market wave of the last 40 years breaks and rolls back, this time the game really is over. Global enslavement, WEF style, will plow into the world like a freight train.

seems like a lifetime, or at least a Main Era — the kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run... but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant...

There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning...

And that, I think, was the handle — that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply PREVAIL. There was no point in fighting — on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave...

So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high water mark — that place where the wave finally broke, and rolled back.

If the DOW is doing great, stocks are too expensive. If the DOW is falling a Mad Max scenario is coming.

With this attitude you will always stay on the sidelines. Now is the time to buy stocks, not with all your cash at once. It is time to buy quality blue chip stocks every month for the next two years.

I keep hearing about the big-reset, and all debts are supposed to be forgiven. How's that supposed to work?
 Quoting: Chinaman

The WEF debt forgiveness plan in a nutshell:

1. All your debt will be forgiven

2. You'll lose ownership of your home/condo/etc. (WEF is the new owner)

3. You'll lose ownership of all of your vehicles (WEF is the new owner)

4. You'll be evaluated to determine what size residence you need so they can place you properly

5. Your true transportation NEEDS (not wants) will be evaluated to determine if you qualify for an EV (not a Tesla, more like a low-cost Chinese EV). Most people will NOT qualify and will need to take public transportation.

6. Everything will be given to you (food, clothing allowance, electricity, etc.) and you'll be assigned to a work position. This position doesn't come with a paycheck (that's why they are providing everything they think you need), but you'll be allowed to earn "bonus tokens" by doing an outstanding job at the position they assign you. These "bonus tokens" will allow you purchase things like "additional energy", "some sweet deserts", "beer", "hamburger meat", and other items that the WEF deems as luxury items.

You will own nothing and be happy.

What makes it worse is that rather than take the blame for this ponzi scheme they will flip the entire table over. They have to "reset" otherwise they'd be hunted to the ends of the earth.
