People calling for the market to crash are the same people that don’t save or invest a penny for their retirement!! People also don’t understand that the only way you lock in a loss is if you SELL!! If I own 1000 shares in a company, I still own it and that does not change.

Investments have returned on average 10% each year since market opened. Some years less, some years more but average of 10%. Those calling for market to crash are the jealous that never save or invest a penny and are always broke. Forgive me it I don’t follow your pathetic example. Grow up, get a job and save so you can have a retirement!!!!

The hurricane will actually help in an economic recovery. It’s a long road but rebuilding creates thousands of jobs, generates lots of revenue in the state and system overall. The rebuilding of the infrastructure will attract new investors and again generate additional revenue that will eventually stimulate growth

Genius of destroying wealth to create jobs

One of the most perplexing instances of human stupidity of modern man.

Wait, I will go outside and throw a rock through my window and be happy because it created work.

Oh, wait, I now must spend my money for a window instead of groceries or a new shirt. There is no growth.

Now, I beg you please, give me more stupid shit drivel from your butthole mouth about destroying things.

When the DOW closed below 29,500 that was the sign. The is no real support until around 12,500-13,000. Based on trends we should see lower lows and lower highs all the way down to around that level.

The reset is here. The Shift of the 80 year cycle is here. Once the market hit's it's low in 12-24 months, expect major life / global paradigm changing war.

On the other side, during the rebuild, expect everything to be digital / crypto based, 100% electric vehicles, as close to renewable energy as possible, etc.

Doesn't matter if you like it or not, that's irrelevant now. It's going to happen. So get prepared and figure out how to make a fortune with total adoption of all those new technologies and systems.

When all signs are pointing to a crash in not only the stock market but the entire economy, people higher up-sell and wait for suckers to come in and buy. They did this before the great Depression, you could say the ones with the insider track did this to the fish who didn't know about being baited to hold the falling stock and these people lost everything they had.

If you really want to buy go right ahead but it not looking good on many fronts.
 Quoting: hankie

at least someone else gets it.

the market schills in full effect on this thread today, aren't they?!?!

of course, if my life of investments depended on people NOT cashing out and investing more money in stocks then i guess i'd be schilling to "buy now!" as well. only reason they are doing it is because you know they're losing their asses.

Outstanding prices, buy now before you miss out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72446661

I agree that dips represent good buying opportunities.

But the market has been like a bag of chips lately... up to 50% air in the bag.

I think there's more air to be squished out, and it won't re-inflate right away.

I had a few buy orders in that I recently cancelled when I became convinced the price I set wasn't nearly low enough.

I've been guilty in the past of buying an initial dip that was just the prelude to a major plunge. So I'm not as trigger-happy with these things as I used to be.

Tesla after the split is pretty low, 270 something right now, I’ve been holding that since it was nearly 1000 before the split and came out 3 to 1 with a lot of stock there.
 Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen

So you own 3 shares for every 1 you owned and you've lost money since the split. Congratulations. Tesla is down over 30% YTD, which is worse than the DOW. With optimism like yours it's a wonder that threads like this even exist.

OP, let me know when the circuit breakers start hitting for the DOW / NASDAQ / S&P and then we can talk about financial doom. Until then, we're just experiencing the fruits of the Democrats labor.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84114331

I’m holding, it’s a long term investment. I also get stock options through my company that I hold as well. I’m not looking for quick money, and Tesla isn’t going anywhere.
 Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen

Oh I get it, I was just pointing out that your optimism is entirely in contrast to the sentiment of this thread. DOW drops like 2% and immediately people start posting that the stock market is crashing.
