Do you think nukes can have an effect on earthquakes and volcanoes ?

Depends on the yield, and at what depth they are detonated.

During WWII American Army Air Corps dropped all their unused ordinance (500 lbs to 2000 lbs bombs) in the Mt. Vesuvius caldera, causing/starting an eventual eruption (well documented).

A large enough nuke at depth could start a Yellowstone eruption, but the size of eruption would be dependent on the amount of eruptable magma there was near the surface. Even the Czar Bomba might produce mere venting of gasses.

It all depends on the volcano.

Other than the blast effects, same as any built-up area with similar terrain? Not a god-damned thing. The energies of an earthquake hugely dwarf, by quite a few orders of magnitude, anything that man has thus far developed.

One could even build a replica of the Tsar Bomba, but with U-238 pusher-tampers in the secondary and tertiary stages, and set the thing off in a chamber specifically constructed on the fault line, and still, other than a localized tremor, NOTHING.
