EVERY HOME AROUND HER was DESTROYED... EXCEPT.... Hers. WOW, she had a little bit of wind damage. Now all her friends will be gone. She spent over $300K for the home and property. I know, I would not have done that but it is... what it is. My son owns an Air BNB in VENICE BEACH Florida. 2nd-floor condo. Very little damage for them. |

Crowley's Nursery (beautiful Bamboo) and the north entrance to Myaka State Park. If your relatives live near the beach, they are unaffected. This is a good half hour from downtown Sarasota. Beautiful, in that its still old Florida, but its pretty remote. Manatee expanded this far east with Lakewood Ranch. Sarasota has not done so yet. I am sure your relatives are fine, |

Happened pretty often when I lived there. Not usually to this extent though. Wife was in Englewood with her parents during the storm. 18" of rain in less than 2 hours with 150 MPH winds. Absolute shitshow. |
