Actually, I don't see Putin anywhere.

He's been appearing on Russian TV quite regularly these past few weeks, and he should definitely have something to say about the fall of Lyman, but he's just not there.

I guess we'll see in the next 12... er, more like 10 hours now (as of this moment, two hours have already passed).

So... assuming (most likely incorrectly, but let's pretend for a moment) that Russian military does make the correct decision in the time they have left, I think that European NATO countries should be given additional 12 hours to make (correct) decision themselves...

it was important to the Russian army because it has railway lines that they needed to move around supplies, equipment, and reinforcements. It is also a city in Donetsk which President Putin annexed just the day before. If it was of no importance why did the Russian army capture it? Have they got no idea what they are doing? If it was no importance why did thousands of Russian soldiers die there trying to defend it? Has the Russian army got no concept of what is important?

Also the "peasant wheat farmers of Ukraine" even tried to help the Russian soldiers, offering to tow their broken down tanks back to Russia with their tractors!
