That’s right — the Hummer’s now a green vehicle! What was once the biggest villain in the left’s war on fossil fuels is now the poster child for responsible off-roading. Level 1 charging 120V charging — This is the standard current your home already offers. “Right now it’s about 6 p.m. on Tuesday,” the man says. “And it says it will be full by Saturday at 10:55 [p.m.], which is four-plus days of charging. Wow.” Level 2 chargers $500 without installation 240v charger - upgraded home stations which deliver a higher electricity than a home circuit would be able to deliver “Now it says it will be done tomorrow by 6:30 [p.m.]. So about 24 hours of charging from four percent to 100 percent.” Fast Charging at a Station Car and Driver went to an Electrify America charging station, where it cost over $100 to “fill up” the Hummer at 43 cents per kilowatt hour. One more thing: If you tow anything, Your range diminishes pretty big time. Best joke I've heard in a while. $5 in my suv drive instantly... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84111747 Australia 10/02/2022 01:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've noticed the primary metric for EVs is range, not charging time. What's the actual time to charge? I've heard second hand from owners that they have to have apps on their phone to know if they can make it to the shops on their way home or not. We would love to hear the dark side of EVs.. |

Our government and others will make a guaranteed no risk revenue stream for decades to come. It's part of a 30 year vision. It's working perfectly even though science doesn't support it but msm does, which is all that matters to the followers. The followers are scared to believe anything other than what authority tells them as they want to be considered intelligent as they have been targeted to believe to question that is lower IQ. Academia played their part too. I mean we could go on and on about how EV's are not energy efficient and are not green house or environmentally friendly but what's the point. Wait till the middle east controls all the battery raw materials, wait China swooped in when we left Afghanistan...oops. |

Been a good car. Quoting: The Analog Guy Batteries only get so many charges. Buddy told me never half charge any battery because the battery life is being shortened you might as well wait for it to almost be dead and fully charge it everytime This. Fully charge, then wait until virtually dead, then charge. Good way to fuck up any battery is keep unnecessarily going through the charging cycle. People destroy batteries on their Lap tops etc by leaving them plugged in to the charger charging constantly. Then are shocked when the battery is fucked within weeks of buying. I bet people do the same shit with EVs. Small journey plug it in for a full charge Cycle. Last Edited by Dogsbollocks on 10/02/2022 01:53 PM Dogsbollocks |

The proposals nowadays in terms of "go green" are comparable to a logging company saying they were going to remain profitable, but do the work with nail files (electrons) instead of chainsaws (hydrocarbons). There's a sort of cringy embarassment I feel when I ponder it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 82516550 United States 10/02/2022 02:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Gypo O'Leary well...cost of gas for a hummer vs. cost of electricity. maybe not that bad. wonder what the range difference is between a tank of gas vs. a charge? 329 miles on the EV If I assume 18MPG for a hummer...then about 18 gallons of gas to go that far. at 4/gal....72 bucks. Well you assume wrong because the new hummer is no different than a gas Denali or Escalade in size and get 27 highway MPG. Well we've both assumed wrong.... Although certain Hummers are more fuel efficient than others, the typical Hummer achieves between 10 and 12 mpg. [link to motobikekit.com (secure)] but..apparently the 2022 EV Hummer is the only kind being made. |

Take me 4 weeks to drive 350 miles. so every 3 weeks i would need to charge 24 hours. Not that big of a deal to me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84146480 ^This is how they sell EVs. And I don't disagree. If you are a retired person, or just driving to work and home everyday...you might not really have too many reasons to care about your high-end range limits. |

My H3 got 13 mpg on the highway while towing 5,000 pounds which is more than you really should pull with one. Gas was under $2.00 per gallon because the mean tweeter was president. On my 370 miles round trip, I used roughly 28.5 gallons so lets say $57.00 (It was something like $1.79 per gallon though, so it was really more like $51.00) The e-hummer couldn't pull that load 150 miles before being dead and costing $100 to recharge. Even now at $3.15 per gallon at my local station, it would be $89.77 and I wouldn't need to stop for 2 hours at a time to charge 3 times. |

There could be two battery stows, side by side, one for your personal charge at home cartridge and one for your refill on the road cartridge. Here clownworld, a gift for you. |

My town had a government installed charging station put in front of the Rec Center. About half of the time, when I go to the gym...there is someone sitting in their EV while it gets charged for free. Takes them about 90minuts to 2 hours. It's usually the same 3 or 4 people that know about it. A couple of guys in Kia Tellurides, a little BMW, a Volt. But...if you have an EV Joe Biden is buying your charge with tax money. Last Edited by Gypo O'Leary on 10/02/2022 02:37 PM A. Nonymous Coward |
