It serves basically no tangible purpose outside of a rebellious tantrum. If people think it'll be allowed to exist, much less thrive, when the central banks roll out their own versions of digital currency you're probably insane or deluded. In my opinion, the entire crypto craze was just a beta test to see how receptive the population is to a digital currency and once again we failed the test with flying colors. On another GLP thread, I told a "You're an idiot if you don't do crypto" shill that I'm not comfortable using something to store wealth that requires electricity and a working internet. I'm seriously looking for answers for this. He called me "ignorant." I guess that was easier than giving me an answer. Seriously, though. How does crypto work without a functioning power grid and working internet? It doesn’t. Scumbag scammers always resort to the one line snarky nonanswers when they’re cornered. They think that their “keep ‘em guessing” tactics work on everyone. |

No, I buy enough XLM and convert it into XRP (In Atomic) and send half to each, Atomic and Exodus wallets. So many people don't know about XRP & Coinbase, ....... I just did not feel like explaining it. But since You called Me out, now I gotta explain it .... Ah, I gotcha, didn't think you could buy straight up :) I'd like to buy more LUNC, but can't do that either on Coinbase, wonder if they'll ever open trading on that one again. Yeah, I'm on coinbase but I have to buy XLM on Coinbase, withdraw to kucoin, convert to usdt to buy LUNC. |

If the grid goes down you’re going under your mattress and take out all your trinkets and do what with them? The grid will never go down, stop living in fear your whole life. |

Then sent them to my Atomic and Exodus Wallets. Quoting: Tick Tock Coinbase is good to go. I have been with coinbase since 2016. Aren’t you storing on your own hardware? Atomic & Exodus are on the Blockchain on the internet. Good to go. I am a coin-creator so I fully understand security protocols. Most folks have it exactly backwards. Ask The former Ripple CTO who lost $240 Million in BTC on "His own Hardware" because he lost his password. Do you think crypto will go up or down when the dollar crashes ?? What if...what if the dollar continues to go up vs other national currency while cryptos go up. Hmmm. What does that tell you? Smart people will begin to panic realizing they've been left in the dust...all the while XRP and XLM holders will place their finger to their lips and say nothing is revealed. |

I took this to mean the dollar might collapse Monday with bank bail ins. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84160651 It was by Sept. 30th. There are tons of links about it. They called it back in. Not back "home". No bail in's will save what's coming. |

Given the great reset is to squash all safe havens for money. Why would they let Crypto make another run? Quoting: Cebeij "Crypto" won't make another run, but what gives the ultimate state of control. A system recognizably oppressive or one that monitors transactions hidden, run by non human interfaces, oooh blockchain...wakey wakey sunshine, might as well be wealthy entering a whole new world.... |

How does crypto work without a functioning power grid and working internet? That’s why you diversify and buy precious metals too. And keep cash on hand for emergencies. But if the electric goes out long enough to make crypto not matter, you might die anyway. So don’t let that possibility scare you from making it part of your portfolio. |
