He recently moved from there into an assisted living facility, so my sister just rented the condo out to someone on his behalf. Quoting: Windsage The new tenant just moved in on Friday and called my sister to inform her that there was a big crack in the wall. (about 1/3 inch wide and from the floor to about 3 feet high). My sister had been there at the condo two days earlier and there was no crack. So the crack in the wall happened between Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon, which fits into the timeline of the rails shifting. The big one is coming... Very interesting as during this same timeframe I kept hearing & feeling a shifting sensation below my feet. I literally felt a swooshing in my head. Asked my friend who didn’t hear anything but complained of vertigo. I’m in foothill area by Pasadena . |

California could easily dump their trash at the base of these cliffs to help support them but they haven’t. |

The stretch of land that shifted occurred in San Clemente and had caused movement on the rail line. Yes, it's right there by the beach in San Clemente. I lived there for awhile. Was shocked they put the track so close to the beach that if you had huge tides and waves you'd have issues. But they didn't ask for my opinion, so there you are. |

There are a tremendous amount of good conservatives in California, who do not subscribe to the notions of Santa Monica liberals, or even liberals, in general. Yes there are. If it wasn't for the manipulated elections in CA, I do believe it is pretty much 50/50, dems & pubs...It's just that the democratic mafia controls all the levers of power in this state..... |

There is a long stretch of tracks there that are practically right on the beach. Sooner or later there's going to be some kind of erosion. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84040081 Yeah, not a good place for train tracks. I guess they'll have to reroute them. I heard the train out west was great, farthest west I've been is Chicago, but was a blast. You have to be laid back through because trains can get bumped by other trains or just stop because of weather, so you can't have a tight schedule. |

Of course, there's so much going on right now it's difficult to say what is causing what. BTW, I grew up in Altadena, and Sierra Madre, alumna of PHS and PCC, long time ago. It used to be beautiful, not sure what has happened to it since the 1960s. |

Not even an hour ago I heard movement & that weird noise. This time my husky’s head jerked up and we just both were still , looking at each other. It’s like a deep rumble I hear that could become a pounding but it’s low , very disconcerting . No one else ever hears it. |
