Why would they try to gain ground now, when they know 300k reinforcements arrive in the next few weeks?

How would that even make sense?

Would you rather attack with something like 80-120k soldiers, or with 420k?

That is also why Ukraine is launching desperation offensives. Every mile counts for double at the moment, they know this chance is not likely to exist again, any time soon.

Ukraine canceled a de-mobilizaton too, btw. Don't see much reporting on that. IOW conscripts were meant to go home, after serving their time, but instead their leave was cancelled. You think that is good for morale?

Instead we just see these stories about Russia.

These Russian conscripts are fed up and telling the officer to fuck off.

Most are sick with fevers, equipment from the 70s, most don't have helmets.
