Thing is though any currency that has even a possibility of replacing us is MUCH heavier in debt than we are. That combined with the fact China can just confiscate whatever it please at whatever time for whatever reason makes it difficult to make an argument for the yuan. China's hidden debt also exceeds 200% this is a death blow for that as a currency replacement.

Russia doesn't have much debt but they also dont manufacture much, finance much build large infrastructure projects outside of Russia or even much inside.

Not sure who would be replacing the US dollar as the hegemon at this point
