I was going to send you a PM, but can you open it? You have a silver star (not a gold star) can you use GLP Mailbox? I was at this concert, how well I remember it, not so much. I believe Sting opened up for Dead. My favorite concert shirt I bought from some merchant along the nearly mile long entrance to the stage area. The parking area was filled with vans and campers and tents. Along the "merchant corridor" I was surprised to find beer being sold by the bottle, hippie food being cooked on Coleman stoves, And of course lots of beads and beads, beads on strings.... It was my first and only Dead Show. As I recall, Jerry died a short time later. It was one of the last Dead Shows, and I was fortunate enough to be there. I stood in the middle of the audience right next to the sound engineers and I think video cameras were mounted at that location. Walking, for some odd reason, had become difficult for me. Standing next to the platform gave me a sense of stability... I think? About 10 years later I went to a Phish Concert at Red Rocks in Denver; I was told it was the next best thing to Dead Shows, as far as the parking lot scene. Nope. Not from what I remember of Buckeye Lake. It was really something to experience. Funny...my only Grateful Dead album is Greatest Hits. "Trucking...down to Bourbon Street...." Marlin! |

John 4:15. And the sinner shall listen to the rain, and it shall play songs of Lucifer. You should be listening to bible verses. Abolish the rock n' roll demonic subliminal messaging. |
