The main goal of a silver colloid is to reduce the ions back into tiny silver particles that hopefully bypass the hostile digestive system which contains an abundance of chlorides which readily react with the silver ions making them near useless.

A long time ago, it was discovered that nebulizing ionic silver solves this problem by being absorbed into the lungs, and then consequently directly into the bloodstream. Nebulizing completely bypasses the digestive system.

The ion is what we all want, which is not an issue if used externally. Used externally, ionic silver is incredibly effective. Cruise ships are breeding grounds for disease, and what do they use? The only effect reported by some colloidal silver users is a phenomenon called the “Herxheimer effect,” named after doctor Karl Herxheimer (who identified this phenomenon).
Sometimes, when taking colloidal silver for the first time, some people may experience mild headaches, cold, or flu. The reason is that colloidal silver is so efficient at killing pathogens that the body may not adequately dispose of the dead pathogens fast enough through the normal organs of elimination, and it resorts to the secondary ones, the lungs, sinuses, and skin.

I gave the three most important factors that I had found over the years for making colloidal silver. There were many members of goldismoney2 who had been making colloidal silver for years. They were using a great variety of methods, and many had colloidal silver generators from various manufacturers.

Over complicated postings. No salt. .999 silver wire. Distilled water. 3 nine volt batteries snapped together in a pyramid shape. 9 volt battery snaps with wire attached to alligator clips. Heat water to hand hot. Put wires in large bowl or jar. Leave for one hour. Particles are so small the result is transparent. That recipe was given to me personally by Ken Livingston of educate yourself website.

The reason why the blue man turned blue is that he mixed salt in with solution during electrolysis. This produces silver chloride which has almost no bioactive benefit and collects in the skin over time.

I understand how tempting this is, but you're talking about putting a metal into your system that cannot be removed. It gets trapped in the kidneys and builds up in the organs. I don't recommend using silver, unless it is an emergency situation. There are other options out there, if you read up on herbal medicine enough.

The link above leads to a very well written sales pitch for a silver generator selling for $250 that is probably the worst example of exploiting a lack of knowledge of the consumer. It is a " bubbler system".
Here is my comment:
"It has been some 30 years since I began suggesting the use of current limiting and a laser pointer in making colloidal silver. Before that time, the accepted method was using two silver coins, three nine-volt batteries, and a dash of salt. A watchful eye to stop the process when it had a yellow tint was essential. The trick was to stop the process before the water turned into black gunk. At this time, a man who claimed he was a retired oncologist selling vitamin supplements introduced the use of a fish tank bubbler. That worked to the extent that it prevented the runaway condition that caused the three nine volts' problems. Electricity cannot flow through an air bubble, so the current path was repeatedly interrupted by the flow of bubbles between the electrodes. This guy became very popular and sold many people a kind of subscription for vitamins and made some money. I understand that he was later arrested and jailed for mail fraud. This method is still prevalent as it does work, at least to the extent of preventing the rapid formation of black sludge. To give him credit, I think he also told people not to use salt. This method was not as quick as the three nine volts, which meant that it took more time, but people didn't mind so much because they could always watch the bubbles.
There is a problem with this. As there is no current limiting device, i.e., "resistor" in the circuit, the current between bubbles will not be limited. The particles leaving the silver anode will be in relatively large chunks. The scattering effect of coherent light causes the laser line formed in the solution. The amount of light reflected is not directly proportional to the size of the particle. For instance, a particle 10 nm in size will only reflect 1/1000 the amount of light as a particle 100 nm in size. Therefore, using this method to determine when to stop the process will cause the process to end when a relatively small number of relatively large particles are in solution, which is just the opposite of what we want.
I hope everyone keeps experimenting and keeps an open mind on improving the process. Those of you who are using bubblers and have a TDS meter would do well to check whether or not the bubblers are adding oxygen to your water, yielding you a false indication of silver PPM. To do this, run your bubbler for the same length of time without silver. Take a reading of ppm. It is from carbon dioxide and oxygen."
Don't buy the generator from anyone who does not firmly state what you can expect in terms of ionic PPM (as measured by EC or TDS meter) and clear. You need to make the best possible colloidal silver, not just enjoy a a nice story.

In order to make proper colloidal silver people will need a large enough DC Power Supply that's Variable. They'll also need the proper currents for whatever size silver medium they are using.


End result the liquid should still look clear at 20-40 ppm
