The city of Kyiv has said it is handing out potassium iodine pills to evacuation centres in preparation for a possible Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine's capital. Potassium iodine pills can help block the absorption of harmful radiation by the thyroid gland if taken just before or immediately after exposure to nuclear radiation. The pills will be distributed to residents in areas contaminated by nuclear radiation if there is a need to evacuate, the city council said in a statement - amid Russian President Vladimir Putin's disastrous on-going invasion of Ukraine. If his troops can’t win on their own his ego won’t let him walk away , he’d have to use nukes to save face. Even though in most normal people’s eyes using nukes is a sign of failure and loss. So sadly we almost have to root for a peace treaty or Ukrainian forces to surrender. Nukes mean he can’t lose and won’t even though in reality he’s lost already. He’s the big loser here, as well as his people, who he has set back for decades. If he were Japanese he’d try and save face and jump on his sword… |
