Having said that - I wish to state my own personal viewpoint - which is that relevance ought not to be placed on bloodline - but rather on merit - there ought to be no distinguishing or favour based on bloodline - but solely on merit - and yes I know a lot of people will argue about what constitutes merit - and ultimately that comes down to the capacity of people to be reasonable and tolerant and to best take into account the needs of all and to find the middle ground whereby we can be happy; there needs to be understanding and compassion for one another amongst us all - regardless of background, social standing, race, creed, colour; whether or not a child is born in or out of wedlock - whether people are mixed race or literate - we need to work for the good of the whole and not subjugate ourselves to powerful families or become subjugated by them.
