I usually post stuff before it hits the rest as true. It takes most months and sometimes years to catch up. The first post that I remember being called stup id by the low IQs was about September 11th logical inconsistencies, until I challenged a very nationalistic gringo to a $100 Dollar challenge and respond 2 questions t6o take a hundred from this ¨wetbak¨ and ¨beanr¨ or shut the fuck up. He couldn´t, so he disappeared, after banning me, to save face.

I am in Mensa México. We have a large group, here, mostly kiddos younger than I am.

I was tested twice in elementary school. 146 & 148, respectively.

The pattern sequence tests section of an IQ test are somewhat good for isolating the order within the chaos though.

You don´t need to know anything. You just reason the pattern that is missing, or next. It´s easy.

Hmm. My opinion is that if people could concentrate, they would get better scores. I think most people get anxious, or bored, or they just rather do nothing instead of doing the test.

I've done them a lot - so when I get a high score, it's more just because I've gotten good at them. My original thinking was if I could get better and better at them, my intellect would improve as a result. Like an exercise.

It's hard to 'feel' your intellect though and testing it is hard too because part of it is based on experience. Just like with the tests themselves. The more information you have and experience you have, the more power you have in any related intellectual task.

It doesn't necessary mean anything significant about your brain. It's more just about the kind of things you are good at, and your information experience.

Interest also plays a part in it. I sometimes like solving puzzles. I do it as part of my enjoyment. So an IQ test to me has many 'enjoyable' parts. While for other people, the entire thing might be complete boredom and painful to go through.

That also effects your skill. The more enjoyable something is, the better you can be at it, because passion is really what drives the skill and strengthens it - through innovation and efficiency.

IQ does not measure all the parameters of intelligence, people who brag about a high IQ score are probably pretty dumb because IQ tests doesn't even measure emotional intelligence. A genius can take an IQ test but make a miserable score because he's dyslexic or ADHD.
