Anonymous Coward User ID: 83635896 United States 10/30/2022 02:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m a royalty owner of producing gas wells in Oklahoma. I’m small potatoes. My royalty checks have tripled since Biden has been in office. I have zero control over how much gas is sold or what it is sold for. In 2021 the price of gas increased ten fold during an unexpected cold snap. My royalty check only increased about ten percent. (Believe me, I was expecting a nice windfall that never reached the royalty owners). Quoting: docsquat It’s the utility providers that are getting rich. In Oklahoma you can only get your homes natural gas from one provider, Oklahoma Natural Gas. It’s a monopoly and they behave like Mr Potter from Its a Wonderful Life. As for what’s going on in Europe, there is no storage. Here in the US we have some underground storage but the majority of gas storage is accomplished through not producing at the wellhead. When my wells first started producing the royalty checks were 6 figures a month. They run the wells pretty much at full open when they’re new just to provide a quick return on investment. Then after about a year they close off the tap to keep a minimal flow going. Enough for them to receive a decent return on investment after taxes. If they reopened to valves to full, my wells would produce enough gas to fuel a small European country each month, for probably 20 years. Russia produces in the same manner, so killing Nordstream 2 has basically cut off a huge storage facility for Europe. Sounds like a nice gig. How does one get to being a well owner? |

He told the world he would kill fossil fuels if elected and he is keeping that promise and its killing all of us in more ways than one.
