get your LED light bulbs from the Dollar Store

Avoid China made LED's, most of them are shit. I'm using Phillips and so far they are in fact lasting years and using a lot less wattage.

They may last longer, but the frequency they put out is HORRIBLE for our bodies. I can't be in a room lit with these too long or else I get nauseated and a headache. I want the incandescent bulbs back.

Actually I have alot of incandescent bulbs that I replaced so I put them all in a basket.

When the LED bulbs came out I could not stand them after a while and started buying the little spiral ones but hated those after one of them started smoking. Im used to them now I guess (the led ones).

My electric bill is fairly cheap in August like $300 but keep in mind im running a pool pump 8 hours a day. So they are good for that.

You can select a light spectrum that agrees with you these days you know. This video is for plant growers but the basics also applies to humans.

They can last that long but then the manufacturers would have slow business. They intentionally give them short lifespans.

do a deep dive on what they do to your endocrine system. You'll realize why it was so important to mandate them and not let Mr. Market decide what people wanted. Also, why is there an FCC approval on all LED bulbs? do they have the ability to send and receive, just asking for friend.

It's amazing how people still don't know that the rated draw is listed for the actual diode only, and not the transformer that drives them. The diode last nearly forever. But when the transformer is shit, well there ya go.

LED bulbs are terrible for you, they all flicker and screw up your circadian rhythm. Go back to incandescent bulbs, your body will thank you.

Thinking 3000-4000 hours max or much less pending on price
Old bulbs had just glass and wire designed to break in ..1000 hours?
No problem making old bulbs lasting 20K hours if wanted

I'm lucky to use micro metal hallide bulbs / 50watt /, also ballast but DC powered plasma and 20k hours design life

There's always one of you morons. LED bulbs are now the most common bulb across the US, so according to your claim the entire US population must be sleep deprived. Fuck off.

I wire my cieling with DC and use LED and spiral bulbs. They all have ACDC convertors in them. Basically that's what makes them so efficient.

I was just about to comment, I can't use them because of this gives me terrible eye strain they make a room look like a strobe light

Theirs a guy on youtube does teardowns of lights and yes there is a huge range of components and designs.. and quality.. big business, big consumer electronic market.

if you get leds, make sure you get them with the "warm" yellow/orangeish light. makes a significant difference

There's a house down the street from me that has cool blue LED's inside and makes it look like the set of the CSI Las Vegas crime lab. I don't know how anyone could stand living around that.

they are most likely insane or have mental issues tbh. the blue lights calm the mind.

Dining room. 5 yr warranty.
