Quoting: SafeandSound It’s $300/mo for 2 cars. Another agency quoted $500/mo. What do you do? Also FYI for anyone in a no-fault state, if you’ve become old enough to get on Medicare, you can opt out of part of the bill for a substantial discount. My insurance is 130 canadian, seems in america they want to wipe out the middle class good luck down there. |

An accident is an accident though. Insurance should cover yourself, unless you intentionally wrecked. If you don't have insurance, you should pay your own costs. The other driver made his decision to have insurance or not as well. |

If you want to take the risk on yourself without insurance, should be your choice. You don't have the right to damage other people's property or themselves... Nobody said anything about damaging somebody else's crap without taking care of it. If you have the means to pay for it yourself then there's no reason to be scammed by fucking bloodsucking insurance companies. Actually, most states don't even require insurance if the driver has enough money that surpasses whatever the states minimum liability bond would be. Most people don't know this. Say somebody's filthy rich. They can drive technically with NO insurance, No bond, nothing. Because they could afford any reasonable damage. However, they would be at risk of being sued and losing everything if they were at fault hurting or killing somebody. Same with a house. Home owners with no mortgage can choose not to insure it. Whereas, mortgage holders HAVE to keep insurance on their home as a requirement of their loan. What if somebody could shell out for another house without blinking if God forbid it burnt down? That's their choice. |

How much of that 30 years worth of money going to the insurance have you received back in any sort of claims? All? Half? a Quarter? None? When you make a claim, usually the rates go up. You make "too many" claims they'll drop you. Years ago my parents went 25 years with not one claim until one year they had three (when it rains it pours). Flooded basement, 100 mph wind storm damage, and garage fire. They were dropped. Insurance also does everything they can to minimize the value of the loss and pay out a fraction of what you paid. Have at it. Whatever floats your boat Flo Last Edited by GatorMclosky on 11/03/2022 03:50 PM |

And if you miss your payment in Michigan, it goes into the state police computer. so that when they run your plate the show you are uninsured and they pull you over. How did you know I’m in Michigan? Im In Michigan, Port huron I guessed Michigan too. Their lifetime Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits is an outrageous insurance law that costs the industry way too much. Their tort immunity laws also prevent insurers from being able to collect what they pay out on behalf of their policyholders from a tortfeasor and their liability insurance, unlike most every other state. You should pay the price in Michigan. |
