I saw an object / planet in the sky next to the sun yesterday

Yesterday around 12:45 or so in the afternoon, I saw something in the sky near the sun.

It was cloudy and rainy yesterday. The cloud cover was thicker in some places than others, shifting because it was windy. I could see where the sun was - a bright spot behind some thick clouds. Those thick clouds were blocking the glare of the sun.

There was an opening in the clouds to the upper left (about 10 o'clock) of the sun's position where the clouds were very thin, and through that thin spot in the clouds, I saw the object.

It looked like a planetary body, about twice the size of the moon, heavily pockmarked with craters. Sky blue, spheroid, almost looked translucent.

My phone was in the bedroom charging, so I yelled at my husband to come outside to see it & bring his phone to photograph it, but by the time he did, the cloud cover had shifted & it was no longer visible. Of course. :/ It was only visible for a total of 10-20 seconds, it all happened so fast. But I have no doubt I saw what I did.

It was so unbelievable (even to me) that I wanted to find some rational explanation. My first thought was that it was the moon, as you can see the moon sometimes during the day. So I checked online to see when moonrise was, but it was not until 3:57 PM, another 3 hours away. And the moon phase was only supposed to be 67% full, whereas the object I saw was a perfect sphere. So that was a no. (The moon rose normally later in the day, BTW. The sky was clear by that time.)

I even considered the idea that it was the some weird illusion and that I had seen the sun, but the sun is not pockmarked with visible large crater's.

I've been coming here since about 2005, registered my account years ago, I don't drink, do drugs, take pharmaceuticals, and have no history of hallucinations or psychosis. I have to say, having seen this is fucking with my head a bit. Just ...WTF?

I'm in NW Washington state, BTW. We're well I to the rainy season now, complete cloud cover today and for the forseeable future. But I have an auto-darkening welding helmet on standby in case there's a break in the clouds and an opportunity to look again soon.
