All the other registers with a cashier and self pay were CARD ONLY. It's coming people. They acted like getting cash was just weird or something like it upset some big apple cart. That has been more and more common, and is spreading to smaller ones as well. Coffee shops, fast food, etc. One McDonalds this summer had six kiosks, card only, and one cashier with a long line. Most were using the kiosks and cash payers were penalized. Everyone already knows it's on the way. I am only providing the date. I honestly thought standing in line with an actual cashier meant all forms of payment could be taken. Right? I get to her and she rings me up and I hand her a couple of $20s and you'd have thought I was trying to give her a snake. She was masked up so, you know... She calls for a manager to come over and suspend my purchase so that it could be completed at the customer service desk and honestly, they acted like I had tried to do something way out of the ordinary. So, everybody just gives a ebt card or a debit or credit now wherever they go? Even if I don't have cash I write a check!
