Looks like another Low Pressure wave will draw it in later in the week too.

Wild. This is late in the season. not many storms this year... so far.

Get ready for heavy rain and rough surf. Nothing new.

It's not anything like Hurricane IAN. East coast and west coast of Florida are very different when it comes to hurricanes.

Wind effects in Orlando could worse with this than what we saw with Ian. GFS has 974mb storm just south of Orlando early Thursday morning. That pressure to me suggest 90 to 100mph winds right here in Orlando spreading toward Tampa later in the day.

Great.. I just got my deck all cleaned up and pressure washed It was under water for over a week. Two large garbage cans of reeds and junk.

Can't really complain, neighbors lost their shed and deck washed away. Ya gotta replace that old wood once in a while!

Yeah, two thoughts here:

#1: Orlando and other parts of the state are still dealing with the effects of Ian (tarps, debris, housing shortage), etc.

#2: Tampa MISSED the fun with Ian. Is this ANOTHER attempt to flood Tampa?!?!?!? (only slightly joking!)


And an additional thought I just had:
Is this a form of WEATHER WAR. Punish FL/DeSantis for poking Biden in the eye with all the busloads of illegals sent packing?

One more: Election day could be messy in some parts of FL, depending on how quickly this storm ramps up.

I don't know how close you were to "Ground Zero," but the entire southwestern coast (and inland a ways) dealt with - and are still dealing with - the aftermath of Ian, and DO NOT WANT to have to deal with another storm. While it may not be exactly the strength of Ian on the west coast - or even the east coast - just the fact that there may be lots of RAIN and plenty of strong winds is not good for those of us with BLUE TARPS still on parts of our dwellings.
