I also don't get the fixation on Putin. It's like the PM, the parliament etc don't exist. It's not like Putin decides everything himself. He's not a monarch. Even if he dies/steps down etc, that does not mean the Russian Federation would change their course. The opposite might be the case, many Russian politicians have argued that Putin is too soft. Hardliners might take over.
