U is not functioning. Their power grid is gone. A peace plan was established back in March between U and R but the US and UK said no. G is actually another target besides R. So peace could not be allowed.

Russia is going trough their first mobilization. Ukraine already had several rounds. They're running out of soliders, and all the equipment and money in the world won't help them without anyone to send to the front.

Ukraine now has tons of mercs, ISIS and all sorts of dubious groups fighting for them. Reports from the frontlines show that often there is no Ukrainian heard anymore but just a mix of foreign languages.

Russia has had large casualties but also has a much larger population. In a war of attrition, they will inevitably come out victorious. Their production facilities are unaffected, they got power, they got heat. Ukraine is totally dependent on support by the west now.

These are the facts...

Those are not facts. Those are your fantasies.

I know people that live in russia. They say that the public is not behind this. They are basically begging anyone to join the army.

You can say whatever you want but here we are 9 months later and russia has achieved nothing.

Controlling about 30% of the land, which accounts for 90% of Ukraines GDP is nothing? They are almost a landlocked country now. The only reason they keep functioning is because of the massive support by the EU/USA. But how long do you think western countries are willing to send billions there on a monthly basis? While their own populations are struggling more and more?
 Quoting: jab2014

the "30%" of the land doesn't account for 90% of Ukraine's GDP. because the Russian Army is so incompetent it can only capture cities by destroying them. eg Mariupol is just a pile of rubble now. but at least that rubble pile is "Russia forever".

and Russia isn't "controlling" that land. the Russian Army is running away as soon as they hear even the slightest rumor that the Ukrainian Army is going to attack them! for example, the Russian army did not defend the "Russian city" of Kherson, they just ran away. and they left all their equipment and supplies behind for Ukraine to capture and use against them. the Russian Army is pathetic and incompetent. President Putin should call off the war and pull the Russian Army back to Moscow for re-training!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9728622

Do you think a nation with an increasing debt load, as nations are unloading this nation’s bonds, can continue sending billions monthly to Ukraine? Does your lame brain grasp the concept of a war of attrition? Russia is grinding your asses to a pulp. Your idiot proxies are counterattacking, losing material and mercenaries at an unsustainable level. What you are losing is replaced at a higher cost. US cannot sustain this as the fabric of your country is frayed beyond repair. Are you a shill? Maybe you are just a garden variety boomer dumbass.

Riiiiight

I’m sure this is all going according to plan for russia lol

Russian casualties are massive. Their equipment is a joke. Their soldiers are ineffective.

Their economy is tiny. The world for the most part is United against them.

Soon the people of russia will rise up against putin.

Putin will be dead soon.

Where did you get 30%, comrade Ivan?

Before the February invasion, Russia already occupied 7% of Ukraine.

The most they held was in March, when they held 22%

After losing territory with recent Ukrainian counteroffensives, Russia now occupies about 17% of Ukraine, of which they already occupied 7%. So after 9 months and many tens of thousands of lives, they have managed to seize and occupy about 10% of Ukraine.

Re: President Putin is 'fighting for his life' and fears he could be killed if Russia suffers further heavy setbacks
Vladimir Putin is 'fighting for his life' and fears he could be killed if Russia suffers further heavy setbacks after the liberation of Kherson, a senior Ukrainian intelligence figure has claimed.

Oleksiy Arestovich, an adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff, said the shock capture of the Russian-held territory has dramatically raised fears in the Kremlin that Ukraine will win the war.

He said, according to The Times: '[Putin] is very afraid because there is no forgiveness in Russia for tsars who lose wars.

'He is fighting for his life now. If he loses the war, at least in the minds of the Russians, it means the end. The end of him as a political figure. And possibly in the physical sense.'

Kherson's huge importance to the Kremlin - both because of its link to Russian-annexed Crimea and Ukraine's Odessa port to the west - made it an embarrassing loss to Putin when he ordered his troops to retreat last week.

He added: 'This has forced even people who are very loyal to Putin to doubt that they can win this war.'
